iPhone 5 Armband Review
I recently received this iPhone 5 Armband to review. I didn't have one and knew this would be helpful to have for my walks and workouts. I did my first 5K last fall and had to carry my phone with me the whole race because I didn't want to leave it in the bag check. This would have solved that problem. I know I will be using this for my upcoming races this year!
This armband fits just right on my arm. It's comfortable and doesn't feel rough. The strap and velcro seem very sturdy. It didn't slip when I used it on the treadmill or elliptical.
This armband is compatible with Apple iPhone 5/5S/5C and iPod Touch 5 and also fits iPhone 4/4S.
It keeps your phone safe from moisture while working out. It has a night reflector if you are a night or early morning runner/walker. It also has a small spot for a key. It was easy to use the touchscreen while my phone was in it.
I did have to take my phone out of it's case in order for it to fit. I'm not sure how I feel about that since sometimes it's a pain to put in on and off. However if I'm using during a 5K or long walk outside it wouldn't be too big of a deal.
Overall I am very happy with this armband and will for sure be using it in my upcoming races this summer and fall.
You can find this iPhone Armband over on Amazon.

The Soup Club Cookbook - Review
I absolutely love the cover of this book. It just makes me think Yum! This book arrived at my house on a super cold day and I was so anxious to look through it to find some warm comforting soups to make. I found lots that sound delicious. I just wish the book had arrived with samples! Even though it is called the Soup Club it has lots of other great recipes that go along with all the soups in the book. What a wonderful added bonus!
There are lots of varieties of soups including chilled, fish, meat, hearty, and pureed. I am really wanting to try the Senegalese Peanut Soup. It just looks amazingly good. There is a section for salads and dressing, toppings for soup, breads, and snacks. The melted cheese crackers towards the back of the book are something I know my kids will love and so easy to make along with soup. The recipes do make large batches because it is intended to share but with a good sized family I think it's still a nice amount and I like to have a bit of leftovers to warm up or of course share!
This cookbook is laid out very well, It's easy to read and instructions are very clear. There are beautiful pictures and fun little illustrations. Even if you don't want to start your own soup club this book is excellent to have for your own family. I know I will be trying out lots of the recipes.

Danish Dough Whisk Review
I was pleasantly surprised how sturdy this tool is. The wooden handle is thick and easy to hold on to. The metal whisk part is very strong and made with food grade stainless steel construction and attached well. I don't have any worries of it coming apart.
Large 13.5" Danish Whisk
So far I have used this while making muffins, cinnamon rolls, and mixing up meatloaf. I love that it is strong enough to mix all the ingredients up well. I especially like that I can use it while making meatloaf so I don't have to get my hands in that mess. It definitely helps keep my hands cleaner. This whisk also is easy to clean. I think this is a great tool to have in your kitchen. We all need gadgets to make things easier for us. Plus it makes things more fun. You can find this Danish Dough Whisk over on Amazon.

Speed Jump Rope Review
Jumping rope is such a great way to get some cardio in. It's a fun and easy exercise that can be done almost anywhere. I remember spending the whole time at recess when I was little jumping rope with the other girls. I still enjoy to this this day. I just don't remember all the fun little songs we used to sing as we jumped! This was a fun review to do since I got a bit of sweat time in too!
This jump rope is light weight and of good quality. I really like that it is adjustable. It comes standard at 10 ft but with a quick snip using my husband's wire cutters I had them adjusted to the length I needed. Scissors will not work because it is a pretty strong wire under there. It has little caps on the end that keep it from fraying if you do need to clip it like I did. It also has little screws that keep the rope in place in case you need to adjust for another user. It was easy enough for my younger boys to adjust themselves since they needed it a bit shorter. Just be sure the screws are tight.
What I really like about it is how nicely it fits in my hands. It's very comfortable to hold onto. I also like that you can really go fast with it. I can't last too long at super fast speed but it's nice knowing I can do quick bursts to ramp up my heart rate even for a bit. It has 4 high-grade metal ball bearings which help it to turn faster.
This is a really nice jump rope for anyone wanting to get in a great workout. It is easy to take anywhere because it comes with a nice nylon bag to carry it in. Just by using it to do 50-100 jumps a few times a day will help blast the fat away! You can find this jump rope on Amazon.

Sugar Free Children's Advil - Review
This winter has been a rough one at our house for all kinds of sickness. It has been almost nonstop since October with someone having something. I think I almost need a designated parking spot at our doctor's office.
Thankfully most of the time when my youngest has had a fever, headache, and/or sore throat I've been able to just give him a dose of Children's Sugar Free Advil to make him more comfortable. He really likes the berry flavor and also likes that it doesn't taste sugary like some of the other brands we've used. I like that it's also free of dyes and lasts up to 8 hours.
This can be easily found at most stores in the children's medicine section. I recently bought another bottle since this one is almost out. I always like to be sure I have some on hand because you just never know when sickness will hit.

A Good Food Day- Book Review
At first glance through this book I was a little bit intimidated and not sure I would like it. The photos of the dishes are just beautiful and looked a bit complicated. When I sat down to really read through this cookbook I was pleasantly surprised. Even though the dishes look complicated and expensive most are really not. The majority of ingredients are just fresh everyday items.
There are many recipes I'd like to try including the Pecan Power Balls, Curry and Lime Cashews, and Olive Oil Cake. One of the recipes that really caught my eye and I can't wait to try is the Liver and Onions! We love liver and onions and I can't wait to try the version in this book.
Besides the recipes in the book there is also a nice amount of info on eating healthy in general. Getting rid of processed foods and just using whole foods can make such a difference. I've been trying to do this in our house. I feel better even when I serve desserts to my family and they are homemade. Just knowing what is in your food makes you feel better.
Overall a great cookbook. Beautiful photos, nice variety of recipes, and informative little intros for each of the dishes. Definitely recommend if you are wanting to switch over to more "real" food.
