Trim Healthy Mama Cookbook Review

Pearl & Serene did an excellent job with this new cookbook. It is beautifully laid out. The pictures are great and it is very easy to read. The pages are nice and thick and feel slick enough that I might be able to just wipe off any splatters I may get on it while using it.

I have their first book and do have to say it was a bit overwhelming being so big. I love that they choose to release two books this time with this one being just the recipes and then the companion one with the main plan of how Trim Healthy Mama works.

This book has more than 350 recipes including slow cooker meals, soups, salads, desserts, smoothies, and more. I really like that they notate whether it's a single, family, or multiple serving on each recipe.

NeckSnug Travel Pillow Review

This NeckSnug Travel Pillow is made of high quality memory foam. It molds to your neck so you can easily fall asleep anywhere. No more resting your head on your seatmate's shoulder. The cover is removable and machine washable. It is so unbelievably soft and cushy! My head feels like it just melts into it.

It's lightweight and has an elastic strap which makes it easy to attach to your bag on your travels. I can't wait to take this on my next airplane or road trip. I've currently just been using it while I sit on my couch and type away on my computer. It's great for neck support.

If you are in the market for a travel pillow I highly recommend this one. I love it!

Hand Painted Wine Glasses Review

These Beautiful Hand Painted Wine Glasses by Valentina Paris are designed in Paris and are handmade, mouth-blown, and hand painted so each one is unique. They come in a set of two. The stems of the glasses are tall and narrow. The glasses are very large and delicate. I suggest washing them by hand.


From a distance these glasses are very beautiful but close up the paint is a bit sloppy. My first set arrived with both of the glasses having scratches on them. I mentioned it to the company I was reviewing these for and they quickly offered to send me another set. I assumed I just happened to get a bad pair. It is hard to take photos of such shiny glasses but I tried to do my best to show them.

 Scratch goes across the glass just a bit above the black paint.

This one has a zigzag type scratch towards middle right.

As I said they were nice and quick to offer to send me another pair so I appreciate that. I hate to do bad reviews but I have to be honest and the second pair was not much better. I'm not sure if they just don't check them before sending them out or what. These glasses could be really beautiful if a little bit more attention was paid to them.

 This one had a black paint mark that won't come off.

Painting could be a bit better.

Michael Symon's 5 in 5 for Every Season - Book Review

Michael Symon's 5 in 5 for Every Season is full of recipes that just like the title says requires 5 fresh ingredients and 5 minutes of heat. The book is laid out by season and also has a section on the holidays.

The photos are beautiful and the layout of the book is clean and easy to read. The directions are clear and simple. Most ingredients are just basic ones you can find at your local store.

I just love how everything just looks so good in this cookbook. Several recipes jumped out at me and I know my family would be willing to try many of them. A few of the ones I've marked are the Cheesy Broccoli Gratin, Autumn Panzanella, Thai Style Shrimp Salad, and the Spinach Salad with Strawberries, Red Onion, and Feta. I could go on and on. There are so many good ones in the book.

I'm thrilled to have this book and look forward to saving some time in the kitchen.

Ultimate Foam Roller Review

The Ultimate Foam Roller really does the job of helping relieve tension in the muscles. It is 14"x 5" so it's the perfect size to use on any part of your body. It has firm trigger points for deep tissue massage. It feels very sturdy and has a dense foam center so it won't cave in.

This foam roller is great for before or after your workouts. My husband uses it after his rough days at work. He has a very physical job so some days he comes home very sore depending on what job they've been working on.

Silicone Coasters Review

These Silicone Coasters are so cute and colorful! I've never had any coasters that are so fun. They are made of food grade silicone so they are cold and heat resistant and they will not break. They don't leave marks and are non slip. I've not had any issues with them slipping on any table I've used them on. 

It makes my glass of ice water way more fun!

The coasters come in a set of 6 and include pineapple, lemon, lime, orange, kiwi, and tomato designs. They are 3.5" so they will work for almost any glass or mug. They are BPA free and clean easily with just a quick rinse.

They are just the right thickness too.
